Next Level HorsemanshipTM – Suzanne Myers and three NLHTM Interns, Molly Fetter, Nate Peck and Cassie Beaulieu will be competing in the Extreme Mustang Makeover at Dream Park in Gloucester County, New Jersey on August 2-4.
The formerly wild Mustangs were picked up in April at a location in VA and began their training with Suzanne and the Interns soon thereafter. We have to “gentle” the horses first because they are really untouchable when they arrive from the holding facilities. This process is very tedious and requires a lot of time and patience – it can’t be rushed. Once we gain the horse’s trust a dialogue begins and a whole new world opens up. They become Partners and accept NLHTM Training with ease. It is truly amazing to see how far the horses have come in just three short months.
The NLHTM trained Mustangs are looking good for the competition and have been a joy to work with. The Interns have had an immeasurable experience putting their newly gained NLHTM Training Techniques to work on the formerly wild horses and are finalizing their routines for the freestyle competition at the event.
If you can join us at the Dream Park we would love to see you there!
